Woodland Heights Medical Center Awarded Maternal Level II Designation
8/16/2021
Lufkin Texas (August 4, 2021) – Woodland Heights Medical Center recently announced it has been designated a Level II (Specialty Care) Maternal Facility.
This designation certifies that Woodland Heights meets the standards of care relating to the treatment of pregnant and postpartum patients in Texas, actively advocates for maternal system development and works to improve the availability and quality of maternal care as an active member of Deep East Texas Regional Advisory Council and Perinatal Care Region.
“We have a great women’s services care team and I am so proud to work alongside the nurses and physicians that give their best to our patients every single day,” states Carla Turner, MSN-RN, director of women’s services.
In addition to a completed application, the facility underwent a virtual survey with hospital leadership and staff. The survey consisted of a rigorous assessment to meet or exceed the expectations of the Texas Department of State Health Services.
