DAISY Award Nomination
The DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses honors the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day. Nurses are honored for their extraordinary acts of compassion at a ceremony that is held each quarter. Patients and their families nominate nurses for the award and are invited to attend the ceremony if the nurse they nominate wins. Please take the time to share your story of what your nurse has meant to you, and your nurse may be selected to receive this meaningful recognition.
DAISY Award honorees personify Woodland Heights Medical Center's patient experience commitment. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community.
You may submit your nomination by completing the submission form below. Please describe in detail a specific situation or story that demonstrates how this nurse made a meaningful difference in your experience.

BEE Award Nomination
Just as the daisy cannot survive without the bee, the nurses cannot survive without the outstanding teamwork provided by other healthcare professionals.
The BEE Award was established in 2016 by the nurses as a companion to the DAISY award to recognize healthcare professionals that go Beyond Exceptional Expectations (BEE). Those eligible for the BEE award include all hospital employees outside of nursing. Quarterly, this award will celebrate the extraordinary skills and compassionate care given by these healthcare professionals every day.
Each quarter, the council will review nominations and, based on key criteria, determine BEE Award recipients. Winners will each receive a special certificate.
