Woodland Heights Medical Center Donates to Local Organizations to Honor Medical Staff Members on National Doctors’ Day

Lufkin, Texas – (March 30, 2024) To celebrate National Doctors’ Day this year, Woodland Heights Medical Center is making charitable contributions to six local organizations in honor of its medical staff.
This day is set aside to recognize physicians for their dedication and contributions to our community.
“I cannot speak highly enough of the medical staff at Woodland Heights Medical Center,” states Jose Echavarria, CEO of Woodland Heights Medical Center. “In the year I have been at Woodland Heights and part of the Lufkin community, I have been so impressed with the medical care offered here. Lufkin and Angelina County are fortunate that so many gifted and caring physicians call East Texas home.”
The following organizations will each receive $1,000 donations on behalf of the medical staff of Woodland Heights Medical Center:
- CASA of the Pines
- Winnie Berry Humane Society
- Second Helpings of Angelina
- Neighborhood STRONG
- Naranjo Museum of Natural History
- The Salvation Army of Lufkin
