Woodland Heights

why we offer numerous wellness classes, presentations, and
health fairs to the community. If you would like to learn

Community Health Fairs
Woodland Heights Medical Center holds numerous health
fairs throughout the East Texas area each year. The
hospital’s largest health fair is held during the month
of February in celebration of national “Heart Month.”
This free health fair is held at the Lufkin Mall and it
offers a wide variety of tests to the public, including
cholesterol and glucose screens. Woodland
Heights Medical Center also participates in the Senior
Expo, the Women's Expo, and numerous private industry
events.
Additionally, Woodland Heights offers wellness classes
for women. The Red Hot Mamas program is a menopause
management education forum aimed at providing medical
information and peer support to women, men and family
members dealing with the physical and psychological
impact of menopause, which usually affects women age 40
and beyond.
The hospital's Women in Red event focuses on women and
heart disease. This annual fund raising event for the
American Heart Association is held during the month of
April.
