Michael Sabo, DPM

Dr. Michael Sabo joined the Woodland Heights Medical Center Board in 2006. For the past 29 years, Dr. Sabo has been a podiatrist and foot surgeon with the East Texas Foot Associates in Lufkin. Before moving to Lufkin, Dr. Sabo received his DPM degree from Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Thorek Medical Center Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Sabo served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division where he was a First Lieutenant in Vietnam.

He is a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Foot Orthopedics. Dr. Sabo is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Foot Orthopedists. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, the Lufkin Rotary Club where is serves as a director, and the Lufkin Workshop and Opportunity Center. Dr. Sabo also is a Deacon at the Central Church of Christ in Lufkin.

Dr. Sabo and his wife Pat, have three grown children and three grandchildren.
